O2 and Movistar: the other faces of Telefonica

To our mobile customers in Latin America and Spain, we're better known as Movistar, which has been part of Telefonica in Spain since 2005.

Our European mobile customers know us as O2, following our acquisition of O2 and Çesky Telecom in 2005. Under the respected O2 brand, we're present in the UK, Ireland, Germany, the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
